In June - Mass murder of Jews by gassing begins at Auschwitz. Hitler's goal was to make a superior race. So anyone that was not of the Aryan Race, had disabilities or did not like the Nazi party, were killed. The killings of Jews began with mass shootings. The people were forced to dig their grave and then the were shot at so that their bodies would fall into the mass graves. Other ways of mass murder were gassing trucks. People were forced into them and then the exhaust from the trucks were led into the sealed chamber of the truck, thus suffocating the people. The way that we are most familiar with from World War II is Concentration camps. In Auschwitz they used Zyklon B-gas inside the chambers to kill all people in them. At Auschwitz in Birkenau there were 4 gas chambers, around 6,000 people were killed in every day. In concentration camps all were forced to work, if they refused to work or could not work, they were killed in the gas chamber or crematoriums. They were very malnourished in these camps. They were fed little food. The hygiene in these camps were not very good either. People slept very close together and shared about everything, it was very easy to become sick, and once one became sick they just became weaker and weaker until they were killed or died.
